The Devon Environmental Awards 2018

The Devon Environmental awards are held every year to pay tribute to the organisations of any size in the Devon region, encompassing business, the public sector, community and education and their efforts to operate in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.

These awards have been running for over two decades and specifically highlight best practice in Devon through a number of categories reflecting the breadth of businesses and organisations across the County.  From tourism, manufacturing to education and inspirational individuals.

DEBI Chairman, Johno Smith said:

“Since its inception in the early 1990s, we at DEBI have understood how important it is to support the local economy whilst striving to protect the wonderful natural land and seascapes in Devon.  The Board recognised that the commitment to the environment by many of Devon’s businesses, community projects and those in the public sector must be championed as an inspiration to others.  The Directors are proud of its long association with the Met Office who have generously hosted and supported the annual awards ceremony year on year.   In addition, DEBI has benefitted from the generosity of its sponsors most notably Exeter Airport, JP Associates and South West Water, stalwart supporters of the Awards to name a few.  DEBI is also grateful for the services provided by Haines Watts Accountants and Paignton Zoo.  We look forward to more inspirational entries in 2018.
