2013 Awards

On Thursday 21st November 2013 this year’s DEBI Awards ceremony took place at the Met Office.  This year’s awards celebrated DEBI’s 21st Anniversary and was attended by many within the business community who have played a role in DEBI over the past 21 years. Andy Vickery Chairman was keen to pay tribute to his fellow DEBI Directors, who give freely of their time and share their expertise without personal gain, all because they are fully signed up to promoting environmental best practice to the Devon business community.

DEBI continues to be keen to stay true to its roots, it is a not-for-profit organisation based on altruism.”

Andy stated.

Andy Vickery, Chairman of DEBI said

“As in previous years, this year’s awards covered an eclectic and impressive spectrum of businesses in Devon both small and large who are demonstrating true innovation and creativity when it comes to running their operations in an environmentally sustainable way. The shortlisting, judging and decision making processes were the source of lively debate as a result of the quality of the entrants this year. DEBI is proud that for the last 21 years it has been able to continue to champion Devon’s most sustainable businesses including social enterprises and community initiatives. We hope that as a network we can continue to support their business needs from an environmental perspective and recognise the positive impact they have on our local economy. ”
