2012 Awards
On Thursday 22nd November 2012 this year’s DEBI Awards ceremony took place at the Met Office. The awards were presented by Viv Hignell of Lloyds TSB Commercial in the absence of Paul Turner, Director of Community and Sustainable Business at Lloyds Banking Group, due to the extremely difficult weather conditions. Despite ongoing turbulent times, Devon businesses continue to demonstrate innovative and pioneering environmental best practice reflected in this year’s winners and finalists.
Andy Vickery, Chairman of DEBI said
“This year’s awards clearly demonstrate that in tough economic conditions focus on environmental best practice can lead to cost effectiveness. The judging panel for the DEBI awards this year was particularly impressed by the level of innovation demonstrated. This year’s winners are investing and reaping the benefits of environmentally friendly energy as well as creating pioneering technology to respond to a market requirement to reduce costs. We are delighted that DEBI can recognise these efforts at our annual awards event.”
